Site Updates
started actually putting up the emo portal today after i spent ages messing around with photo editing and layouts and the like :0 really liking how its turning out so far, i used lots of brushes from salvaged.nu which i will make sure to credit back like the responsible internet user i aspire to be when the page has more stuff on it. i am enjoying making it so much and have lots of plans for different pages ^^ im hoping its going to be a combo between a wiki for emo but also have lots of my own takes and reccomendations as well :p the photos i used for the banner are from here and are of geoff and tom from thursday. idk if thursday would hate being called emo but thats something i will discuss on the page LOL hope u guys r well and not too cold wherever u are :) life has been stressful af lately but i did play the first lucius with my friend and that was so much fun so its not all bad. in other news i think i accidentally manifested the mcr comeback as a week before the announcement i was listening to them like crazy. (if u guys are going to the shows have a crazy time and if u didn't get tickets pls dont be sad they were so freaking expensive, if they do tour europe they better be cheaper and everyone who couldnt go in the us can go) i am really back in my mcr era which is honestly great i love good music! i got some thursday CDs as well which is very exiciting - i will take pictures of those at a later date if anyone is interested LMAO. anyway go listen to bulletproof heart right now and have a dance party or don't LOL

Forgot to update this page LOL but the Jay Chou shrine is done sort of yay! life update alert i got a job and have finally sucumbed to the capitalist hamster wheel okay maybe its not that serious but i now have responsiblities and what have u and am not coping well with it LOL. anyhow i forgot to say i saw american football live and may have actually ascended into emo heaven it was that amazing. i heart u mike kinsella :p been feeling majorly uncreative since i graduated not sure if anyone will read this but if anyone has any tips to enjoy art again pls message it is getting desprate. thinking about finishing some web pages iv been meaning to do for a couple years HA also considering making a emo music portal :-) stay tuned

So today the Jay Chou shrine is finally taking form! yay! I've been working on the graphics for a while now so it feels good to finally get it on the site ~~ I was super super inspired by old Xanga layouts and the like for this one (made me consider maybe changing up the design of my old pages perhaps but idk how i feel about it - some of them are like ancient relics at this point!) I enjoyed designing it way more that I thought .. all graphic design should have shiny gradients and drop shadows,,,

Helloooo!! Big life update news - I graduated from college!! I cannot believe I started this site before I had even enrolled - what the frick is time anyway! So now I consequently have lots of free time lounging around my parents place feeling nostalgic with not a lot else to do hehe. I've been making plans for an album review page for a couple months now but since I fell off the coding bandwagon like 2 years ago it's probs gonna take me some sweet time. In other site news however, I've been crawling around gifcities trying to get a suitible collection of Jay Chou fansite gifs so that I can make a little shrine which I'll get done soon I think. In other life news... I SAW THURSDAY. LIVE. IN PERSON. I was like 2m away from Geoff Ricklys face and I had the most amaze time eva getting smushed to Understanding in a Car Crash. Oh BTW I highly reccomend watching a live performance of Paris in Flames on YouTube - like any of them. It may possibly be the best live song of all time ever and the videos are very good too. Ooh I finally have gotten round to reading Midnight Sun by Stephanie Meyer it is very good but such a pain to lug around the place. I was reading it outside earlier and my actual wrist was hurting LOL. I promise I won't leave it this long again (says someone who really can't be trusted) I hope everyone reading this is doing okay and has a lovely July :-)

Hi!!!! Long time no update LOL I really wanted to come on here and say thank you so so much for the lovely guestbook messages, I do check them often even if I am in a period of website hiatus :) (especially thank you to the person who said they liked my emo music rants haha!) I always seem to come back to neocities no matter how long I leave it and I feel welcomed each time I return, even if I don't belong to a community or anything I'm so grateful to the people who I've spoken to on here since I joined in 2019 (WTF 2019!!!). I alsooo wanted to just say thank you to the creators of the YesterWeb community which shut down earlier this year, I'm not exactly sure how to contact anyone who had a part in it since I stopped being active over a year ago! Buttt I just wanted to say thank you sm to everyone who worked to create a space which passionate webmasters such as myself could feel welcomed (I know the community esp the discord had a lot of ups and downs but I am so grateful to have been able to be a part of a space like that from the get go ^.^) I'm not sure whether to say expect updates or anything because offline life is very busy (adulting ew) but I haven't completely forgotten about neocities LOL!!

I made a CD collection page because I've wanted to do it foreverrr and also this summer I wrote down every CD I own in a document :-). New banners added to the buddy page - broken ones removed or fixed, some more infomation added to the Thursday shrine. I made this page rofl.
I can't believe it's been so long since I updated but I really felt like I wanted to which is much much nicer than forcing it. I have many uni assignments so expect progress to be slow but I really feel like working on the site again- almost like when I first created it. I think my goals are clearer now, I got a bit bogged down by neocities discorse and I forgot that my site was supposed to make me feel happy and at ease but I like to think i've matured a bit.
In other news I've been tumblering ALOT and eating copious quantities of breakfast biscuits, I've also finally accepted my love for Taylor Swift after years of believing I was too cool (I am not and have never been, if anything she's too cool for me.). Right this very moment I am listening to Owen's The Avalanche album - Mike Kinsella needs to be stopped like no one should be able to get away with music this good,,,(updating the update i added the album in lol 01:57AM) ANYwHOO you have now recivied a 2 in 1 deal; life and site update.
