mewithoutYou were an alternative rock band from Philadelphia, PA, formed in 2001 and disbanding in 2022. The band are associated with the post-hardcore scene of the early 2000s but their sound evolved beyond that, becoming more associated with the folk and indie genres in their later albums. The band's most prominent line-up was vocalist Aaron Weiss, his brother Michael Weiss on guitar alongside Brandon Beaver, bassist Greg Jehanian and Rickie Mazzotta on drums. mewithoutYou are known for their unique lyrics which range from parable-like tales to journeys into religous belief - sometimes sung, sometimes screamed by Aaron.
